As we welcome our new members into our local, it is important to remember those who came before us. Proud IAM machinists labored under the banner of the IAM to create the union we know today. As the torch passes from one generation to the next, the benefits the IAM fought for allow our members to enjoy retirement after a successful career. We currently have over 250,000 retired machinists as of 2025, and that number grows everyday. Our local is here to help guide our members through the process company by company, and help the families of past and present IAM members during retirement.
